Job description

Marcus Evans Conference division executes strategic business-to-business conferences that facilitates and allows Fortune 1000 companies to benchmark, network and gain valuable insight to sustain a competitive advantage.

The Vancouver office is looking to expand the division to facilitate the growth into new markets/industries for 2013/14.

We offer world class training and development opportunities to individuals to learn the fast paced corporate culture, sales process and product knowledge. Opportunities to be move through our structured promotion structure and into management are available for successful candidates based on performance.

Sales experience is definitely a plus; however, we are more interested in hungry, self-motivated individuals who have the mental toughness and drive to succeed. We want positive and forward thinking candidates that are willing to adopt the aggressive but highly proven sales process and take advantage of the need for firms/companies to gain a competitive advantage in this economy.

The position offers a BASE salary plus monthly COMMISSIONS and additional BONUS opportunities. Realistic on-target earnings for the first year at $35,000 to $50,000 but the commission structure is uncapped and therefore top performers can earn well over this in their first year.

* The confidence to sell our events over the phone to C-Level Executives within Fortune 500 companies
* Excellent research skills able to cope with changing product cycles and target markets
* Tenacious and persistent approach to overcoming obstacles
* A Team player, contributing to the overall success of each event team.
* Self-Motivated with a desire to develop a career in sales and progress within the organization.
* Mandatory Requirement: Fluency in English
